Yes! Modern Counseling & Wellness Co. is currently in-network with Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, MVP, and Aetna. If you have coverage through one of these providers, we’re happy to work with your insurance to make care more accessible. For other plans, we can provide a superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Please reach out if you have questions about your specific coverage or benefits!

There is no formal contract for how long services must be rendered. However, we provide an intake packet that will be completed prior to the first session. This includes responsibility to pay and no-show fee’s/cancellations.
We would never expect a client to continue services with a clinician they felt they were not connecting with.
Furthermore, we are happy to connect you with another therapist if you felt that you were not satisfied with services at MCW.

Your first session is all about getting to know you. We’ll talk through what’s bringing you to therapy, your goals, and any questions you have about the process. It’s a relaxed, judgment-free space where you can share at your own pace. We’ll also cover some background information, discuss what to expect moving forward, and start building a plan that feels right for you. No pressure — just a supportive conversation to help you feel heard, understood, and comfortable.

Initial therapy appointments are scheduled for one hour and will involve a recap of the intake paperwork.
All remaining appointments are between 45-53 minutes depending on the clients needs.
Longer sessions can be scheduled upon request.
